Day 7: Weigh in was not what I wanted. I have a 2 lbs loss from the start. I really wanted to see 8 lbs like some of the other posters BUT I'll take the 2lbs with joy as it was a LOSS! the BIG surprise was when I measured myself. 1.25" off bust, 2" off waist & 2.75" off hips. That's 6 inches; pretty impressive, I think.
Some things I've learned on Week 1:
1) BUDDIES are worth their weight in GOLD. Don't lose to much guys I need you! LOL
2) I like HOT food better. That could be a contributing factor to my small weight loss. I need to eat more salads & less cooked foods.
3) I need to move more. I will take more breaks from my desk & walk around the pond or out to the pool. With technology there is NO reason I have to be glued to my desk.
4)This is a process & to make it work I have to pay attention & follow the rules. I can see that it works by looking @ this board & the progress folks are making 1 pound @ a time!
180.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 40.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 24 May 2010:
2281 kcal Fat: 176.96g | Prot: 137.46g | Carb: 45.08g.   Breakfast: cream cheese, water, coffee, Breakfast sausage link,  organic canned pumpkin, flax meal, splenda, baking powder, cinnamon, butter, egg. Lunch: sugar free ice tea mix, romaine, deli roast chicken breast. Dinner: butter, mild cheddar, sugar free ice tea, Light Parmesan Italian dressing, vegetable dip , parsley, balsamic, olive oil, chicken, salad, water. Snacks/Other: Colby Jack Cheese Sticks, pepperoni, water. more...

That's 2 pounds gone forever. And 2 pounds less that ou have to lose! COngratulations! And the inch loss is even better!! 6 inches in a week is fantastic.

Those inches are awesome even if the weight didnt budge you are still shrinking! I saw a T-shirt this weekend that said "The internet was down so I decided to go outside today". I thought it was really cute but sadly a few weeks ago that shirt would have fit my lifestyle.

Excellent post that shows you are thinking hard how to refine your life to fit the plan. Great loss especially the inches! 2 lbs. is wonderful too!

Think of that as 2 packages of butter! That's a bunch! I only lost 3 lbs this week too! This is my first week too and I thought I'd be down at least 8lbs. Ah well, I know I didn't cheat...but like you I have to move more! Congrats on the 2lbs!

Paula you are doing good, it is a process and it takes time. Your perserverence will pay off. Each pound lost is a milestone and before you know it your at your goal. Right On :)
