Back on this weight loss train. Had so much going on in my life lately. I have missed all my fatsecret buddies! I look forward to catching back up with all yall and your successes and your life adventures. Let me catch all of yall up with my life.

So since my last journal I have moved out of my parents house for the first time in my life...yeah and im 23.. But now I am living with my boyfriend. I havent had internet lol and I am living an hour away from my parents. I am still searching for a job up this way.

Diet wise I havent been the BEST but I haven't been the WORST either. I eat basically WHATEVER I want but just TINY bits of it. For example...We go out to eat Mexican quite often...It's one of our favorite foods...But I stay the heck out of the chips and salsa, drink water (I love water anyway) and I eat only HALF of whatever entree I feel like eating. This has kept me kinda stable...I havent gained but havent lost. Ultimately I am 3 pounds heavier than my LOWEST... but I honestly feel like that is water weight...

About 3 weeks ago I was going INSANE eating because of some new birth control I was put on--the Nuvaring. I took that sucker out! And decided to go back on the pill. I can handle my appetite with the pill but that nuvaring made me feel like I had absolutely NO self control. My hormones and my appetite have seem to have stabled off.

Now all I need to do is find a good local gym. There is a gold's gym and a LA Fitness close to my new home...but they are SO expensive. My old little family owned gym in my old town was only 20 dollars a month! Idk if I can afford this... but this hot-ass georgia heat makes me not want to go outside and jog either. I am seriously thinking about investing in an elliptical and just work out at home daily.
183.0 lb Lost so far: 52.0 lb.    Still to go: 33.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.8 lb a week

glad to hear from you. ellipticals can get quite heavy. i bought a $500 fancy one. it was a bugger to move and put together. and i never bothered to move it out of my parents house since. it is now a coatrack! things must be still going along wonderfully with you and the BF. awesome to hear.

Congrats on the move! Working out in the heat is tough. I don't have central air so I wish we could afford a gym membership. Until you decide, can you exercise late at night?

I was on the nuvaring for a few months like a year ago and I really did not like the way it made me feel.. so I went off everything.. I think it definitely helped my weight loss.. Do the gyms have any type of new-member incentive programs or anything? Like the first few months free or something? Hmm.. I agree with Jessa about trying to avoid the heat - jogging in the early morning is usually best when battling the temps..

Great to hear from you! Sounds like life is going well!!! I was on the nuvaring for a few months before I gave it up. The main thing it did to me was made me have some CRAZY mood swings. I'll never forget it. It was Christmas one year, and my husband and I were decorating our house, and I don't remember exactly what we arguing about, but it was one of those situations where I'm trying to find a solution to a problem and he's just shooting down all of my ideas without providing any helpful ones of his own (pet peeve of mine. Don't just sit there and complain, help find a solution da**it), when he said something so trivial that ordinarily I would have just brushed it off, but I flat out SCREAMED at him. I don't remember what I said, I just remember turning around after having yelled at him, and the first thing that stuck me was I could feel the HATEFUL expression on my face, and I'm just thinking, why the heck did I do that?! I immediately turned around and apologized and my husbands just staring at me dumbstruck. It was after that I'm like, yeah, this isn't working. :D

I am sorry for laughing...but that raging hormone stuff is awful and, thankfully, I am fairly well past it now at age 57. Amazing how much more peaceful life becomes after menopause. And I did say AFTER, not before, during, or even close to...AND, so happy for you moving iin with BF - that always is so exciting. If you have a DVD player, try some Jillian Micheals workouts like "Fronts and Backs", "30 day Shred", etc. I have done really well with them and lost inches and fat!
