AIRFORCE 1's Journal, 07 March 2008

i am drinking all the water that I need on a daily basis. I started working out again, too much my doctor says. He says since I had surgery in Dec, I should be just walking and gentle jogging, but NO I been trying to do Billy Blanks and Tae-Bo and that put me back on the DL DISABLED LIST again, it has my stomach and back sore. I was told I have to take it easy because I still have internal suture that need to heal in my stomach. I dont know what made me think I could kick my leg up and do a round house kick. I guess that rules out the Cardio Strip class I have scheduled for next week.

Agree w/the doc, take your time so the body can heal & repair itself. And save that "roundhouse kick" for when you really need it for self-defense, lol. So take your time, take it slow, and remember to eat healthy to help the body heal faster. Get better soon & hang in there!

Well I found out why my chest and back have been hurting since I started working out. Apparently I partially tore the muscle in my chest and back/shoulder. I am told it is going to take 2-3 months to heal, without me making it worse. I can't win for losing.

Bummer on the torn muscle. Be careful to let it heal well so there won't be any more damage. Still, you can focus on eating healthy and portion control since you may not be doing much physical activities to burn calories. Just remember to eat a good portion of natural foods (fruits, veggies, legumes, grains, etc) and try to limit your intake of processed foods which sometimes contain high calories, fat & sugar. I wish you well.
