Cue up the Twilight Zone theme..dat di da dah, dat di da dah...
So, both yesterday and today, I am walking along shopping and catch a glimpse of my reflection in the glass doors outside the store and think, "Who is that woman?"
OMG - It's me! Really? I have to do a doubletake to be sure it is not the woman in front of me or behind me also walking into the store...but wait, she has the same clothes on as me...OMG - It's me!
I know I have lost weight; and I have all smaller new clothes to prove it, but at times I think "Who is that woman?"
Still grateful for:
- The people I love who love me back!
- The good health of my loved ones
- My FS Buddies who support and encourage me to continue
- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today
- My DH - who is my greatest "cheerleader"
- My Bengal cat companions named Bodhi and Ravi
- My work - which has meaning and worth to other human beings
- My connection to the Mother Earth and its entire splendor
- My physical health

How cool is that? But it's a proven fact that our minds take a while to process our new image and, unless we make a concerted effort to actually look at ourselves frequently to get that message through, we can walk around with a very distorted vision inside our heads from what we really look like. Get used to being smaller... you're only going to get smaller and smaller still :)

It's a great feeling when you figure out it's really you. The new you... Reminded me of something hubby said when I showed him some shorts I bought this weekend. He asked what little girl was going to wear them. I told him they were for me and that I could zip them up but still too snug. I didn't think he believed me so I showed him. :)

That woman in the glass isn't the old you, saddled with a 50lb + pack. Can you imagine taking that with you everywhere now? I carried two gallons of milk into the house a couple of days ago and was stunnedby how much that hinders you.
