Help everyone, So I did Vegan (some cheese so Vegetarian those days) for 36 days. I didn't do it to lose weight but it would have been nice, but I eat too much bread. Anyhow, I now want to try the KETO diet, has anyone done that? What are your takes?? From eating no meat, to eating only meat, I dont want to get too sick. What do you all think?

I am doing Keto and I love it. I would definitely start slow since you havent been eating meat. Start with good fats and proteins like eggs, avocado, coconut oils stuff like that. Slowly introduce meat back into your diet, dont jump head first into a vat of bacon. HAHA!! One of my favorites, garlic roasted pork loin with garlic mayo. Pepperoni, salami are both great quick snack meats. Watch your nut intake, some are LOADED with carbs. Feel it out for a while, see if its something that will work for you. I have lost 66lbs in just over 3 months and I feel great. I have more energy, I am more present and less tired. Its terrific. If you have any questions, there are a lot of us on Keto that can help. Good luck!!!

@klynn82 thanks so much, I will definitely follow your rules. Specially the nuts, I like those and my kids munch all day. 66 lbs that is definitely a winner!!

Hey Anita, do plenty of research before you change your diet dramatically, there are certainly some very knowledgable people on here who know a lot about Keto (Phil being one of them). I might be wrong, but it’s my understanding that Keto may not be the best option if you only have a very small amount of weight to lose. Good luck!

@trico1 yes thanks, I will be checking how I feel. If anything I'll give it a try for a few weeks then go back to my vegan/vegetarian eating. It is really hard to eat meat for me, so hopefully i can find a balance. But thank you, I will do my research! :)
