Herbie's Journal, 25 July 2007

Had a good workout today --45 mins of cardio plus my abs workout and some weights. It felt good to get back to the gym after three or four days away from it. Funny that even though I feel great after working out I still have to really work hard to motivate myself to get there. That doesn't make any sense to me. Must be a left-over habit from less healthy days. :)

Anyway, progress is onward and upward... er, downward?

thats the biggest reason i won't join a gym here!!! when i'm there i'm good and enjoy it, but getting there is such a chore :/ what is that all about???? regardless, you are doing great! keep forcing yourself to go, its obviously doing you good ;)

Your sentiments about going to the club I think are shared by most. Weight lifting is sort of interesting, but the elliptical stepper and other treadmill devices are terrible. It's all about boredom management for me. MP3 players have been a wonderful thing for me, but even they cannot totally relive the tediousness of 45 minutes on the elliptical stepper. But it's gotta be done!
