06/15/12.... First visit with the VAs dietitian. My weight on their scales toppd out at 288.4.... I found out that my ALC was over 6 last year. This is a measure of Blood Sugar. The high end of the normal range is 5, of which I tested on my last blood work in May 2012. This masurement was important a high ALC can lead to type 2 diabetes. My salt intake also should be lower than 2300 gms pr day. So I start again attempting to lose 60 pounds. I found out that every pound you lose is equal to 3500 calories. So if you can burn up 3500 calories more than you take in ovr a week you can lose a pound a week. So here we go.
