Hi,
I have polycyctic ovaries so this shifts certain hormones out of balance - I believe paricularly progesterone, which leads to abdominal weightgain and insulin resistance. So, my blood sugar is fine, and I don't have diabetes, but my body isn't responding to insulin - There is an explanation of PCOS on www.CeMCOR.com and a lot about horemones and weight - So, I've been prescribed metformin - which is a diabetic medication to help me become sensitive to insulin and metabolise carbohydrates carefully. Yes, you should look at books on hysterectomy and hormones - I'm sure you can loose but we need to focus more on excersize than others - which is good for us anyways...
