hey ... it is past 11 pm and i don't feel like snacking at all : )))) i ate lots of veggies during the day. i ate salmon. i snacked on sugar-free pudding and peaches. i am thankful to all the great suggestions from you guys. good luck to all of us!!! (tomorrow is my mom's birthday --she'll be 67--and we'll eat out at a nice french restaurant. i am nervous! how in the world i will be able to pass the dessert????)

Don't pass on it, share it with someone else, savor 3 bites and put your spoon down like the book suggests. It works, I promise! :)

What I usually do is not order a dessert but have a bite of another persons. That way you have to stop yourself at one bite b/c you don't want to eat their dessert.
