ATrueStarGoddess's Journal, 23 January 2008

Okay, so... To make this story short, I screwed up - BIG TIME. I ate.... everything... And I ate a TON of salt. It's crazy how my face just blew up from all of the sodium in my body. It's actually dangerous, especially with the medication I'm taking - It's not recommended that I consume a lot of salt because I'm GUARANTEED to retain water. I'm upset at myself, But I definitely could've done a LOT worse. I'm almost 100% sure that at least 1-2 pounds of this weight is from water retention because last night the scale said 279 and when i woke up, went to the bathroom and weighed again it said 274.8... *sigh* I'm so dissapointed in myself. I really have to stick to my lifestyle change if I want to reach my goal. Also, I havn't gone to the gym in OVER a week - That's my fault and I'm owning up to it. I'm not even going to bring up excuses because I don't deserve to. I'm definitely going to the gym for the rest of the week (not including saturday because it's closed). I don't know why I dont feel motivated... I need to... soon.
274.8 lb Lost so far: 15.2 lb.    Still to go: 114.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 3.1 lb a week

Dont be to hard on yourself. Its sometimes tough to be perfect all the time. The best you can do is just get right back on your diet and learn what triggered your binge. Looks like your doing good other wise and FORSURE some is water retention. Take care and good luck! :)

You CAN DO this, girl. Even with this small step back, you've lost 15.2 pounds!! That's FANTASTIC! As far as getting back the motivation--remember ALL the reasons you started this diet. Make a list, if it helps. Visualize your life when you get down to 140. Think of how much better you feel; healthier you'll be. Do whatever it takes to get your mind and motivation where they need to be in order to reach your goals. You're a strong woman. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
