Weighed in this morning and I'm maintaining at 142.5. Yeah! Fridays will be my weigh in day at home. I have been weighing in (but not recording) and have seen some fluctuations. Those fluctuations along with the meal I had last night made me nervous for today's weigh in. After having a rueben, french fries, and a brownie avalanche desert last night I was glad to see I maintained! The new manager of our local cafe really spoiled us by treating us to all his specialties. I think I prepared myself well for this splurge. Like I said, I turned down lots of treats earlier in the week. And although my cardio exercise has decreased (1 bootcamp cycling class this week), my activity level has increased significantly with lots of walking and being on my feet most of the day.

By the way, at 142.5 that means I have lost exactly 20 pounds since Jan. 4th! It wasn't always easy eating healthy and pushing myself to exercise - but it was definitely worth it! What a great feeling to have met my goal.

I've been thinking about my goals for maintenance. I know I've been very comfortable doing the same exercise - which mainly consists of riding my bike on the trainer or cycling class. And even though I work hard on the bike, I know the best thing I can do for my body is to mix up my workout a bit. So this morning I ran 1.5 miles - and I hate running - so I feel really good about myself! I walked another 1/2 mile and then did some planks and chattarangas and down dogs. It's a start on my cross training!
