My down fall was sweet tea (I'm a Southern gal if you can't tell) 160 calories in a pint of sweet tea. I mostly drink water now, but when I get a craving for a glass cup sweet tea, I drink it, and I count those calories. I limit myself to just one.

Most artificial sweeteners either give me a headache or stomach cramps. Splenda is actually pretty good. It doesn't taste like sugar but it's pretty close and probably one of the least expensive alternatives. Stevia, in my opinion has a funny aftertaste but if you get a plant of it, you can add a few leaves to your bree (coffee or tea) and it has very little aftertaste that way.
