CoachKitty's Journal, 19 February 2018

I weigh daily, and I notice that every other week or so there are two or three days of increase (never more than a pound or two); followed by a week or more of decrease. Once I figured out this cycle about my body, I don't get upset about the increase. I know what I am doing is working and this is my body adjusting. Our bodies have to have time to adjust, and there is going to be normal fluctuations.
215.4 lb Lost so far: 26.6 lb.    Still to go: 68.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

My body reacts similarly. When I gain a pound it's always followed by a drop. Then, it goes up by .2 -.4 for a day or two, but still remains under the gain amount until it finally settles at the new low where it hangs out all week (or two). From there, it slowly trickles down then, BAM! I gain a pound and repeat. This is why paying attention to how our bodies reacts is crucial and can help avoid stressful feelings. As long as I know I am eating healthy and exercising there's no need to worry.
