thank you for responding and making suggestions! actually what i did today about the cravings (keeping with the south beach principles) was to eat lots of vegetables -- 2.5 cups to be exact -- for dinner and so far (it is 11 pm) i am holding fine with a jell-o sugar free pudding cup (60 cals) and 10 pistachios. so far so good : ))))

FYI, the latest FDA reccomendations for veggie intake is 5-6 CUPS of veggies a day rather than the old 5-6 servings which was more like 2.5-3 cups. You're right on track! Keep it up! :)

Ann Wigmore of the Hippocrates Institute used to strongly recommend two salads a day which is what I have been doing lately. The SBD has really increased my appreciation of a good salad.
