Wow, Jessa. That sucks that it's so expensive. And someone stole your shakes? Any chance they put them away for you? Sounds like a weird thing to steal. Hope your day gets better. 

At my moms office they had people stealing things all the time, even when they were marked with the persons name on it. Especially the quick easy things like shakes. The frozen entres also were picked up with sticky fingers. Never did figure out who was stealing them.  

Oh my gosh, that would upset me to! When I use to work we had to be careful because people would literally go through other people's lunches and eat what they wanted. I was sooo upset. The nerve of some people! We work hard for our money and we can't afford to pay for lunch for everybody else! My car this week cost me over $1500. I haven't really put anything into it since we bought it, so I had it coming, but it still hurt my wallet! 

Oh no! I don't understand how people can just take things that don't belong to them!!! Ugh... frustrating.. :( I hope whoever stole them stubbed their toe.. 

That's why I always lick everything I own before I put it away ;) jk.  

i have food thieves here too. Even worse: when I worked at the border we had a lunch room with the honor system for the snack shelves. There was a wooden box we would put the money into. Well, these were all federal officers mind you-they would take snacks all the time without paying and one of the officers was actually caught stealing the money out of the box. He still works here...shameless! 

I don't know Jess. Some of those guys you've talked about might just like that! You need some of that dye they put on money in the bank that shows up on a black light. Either that, or put some yummy fudge made with X-lax in the fridge. 

Always amazes me the lack of professionalism and common courtesy these days.. I don't have missing food problems here but in my last office stuff would disappear all the time. Our biggest problem is people leaving dirty dishes in the sink, messes on the counter, etc. Some grown ups are just so childish. And FOUR shakes, like you wouldn't notice?!?! REALLY?! 

Sorry to hear that..... So bloody inconsiderate. I bet they don't even like them or know a out the benefits of drinking them  

I feel you. That is completely uncalled for. It's like you find out how much money you have to pay for the car and then come to find out someone has the nerve to take from you?! That grinds my gears! We have a problem with that here. I've had my lunch stolen several times. I say poison one of them and have them play russian roulette. They'll learn. :) Hope you feel better! 

Wow! What are people thinking! After finding out about the car and how much money it's going to cost, I'd be super upset to find out someone stole my shakes. I'm sure karma will come around to bite them. I hope you feel better! 

Thanks for the kind words and sympathy! I think the porter thought they were there for awhile. I got them last Wed. And since I log my calories, I know how many I had! I am sure prison food is not the greatest and I know they do not get shakes. I was out yesterday because of the car, & I took Friday off to go see the Avengers. He is new, so I think he thought his invitation to a Slim Fast shake party was lost in his mail. He probably snuck them into the bathroom. It’s the only privacy they really get. We have a really small amount of people in this building, and only 10 people (including me) on this floor. I really don’t think it was a coworker. @ Helewis: I checked the whole fridge and freezer, not there. @ Jess: This porter is extra creepy, Jess…I will not being licking anything that might go near him! LOL @coconutprincess: Ouch on the $1500! We are new home owners and we haven’t gotten past the new mortgage broke yet. Idk what we will do yet. @erika2633: I like the stubbed toe idea! Please Karma, please!? @Lindsay6384: I can’t believe he still works there! Crazy! @DairyKing: I think your right, Jess’s foot doc would probable like it! @Bkeller1023: Oh, I noticed. And whimpered! I was looking forward to too choc ones today! @Sk1nnyfuture: I bet the porter just wanted something sweet, tasted 1 and then went to town. They are really good. He is quite skinny so he probably won’t even gain weight! Jerk! @bmccrary & mars2kids : I am feeling better. I don’t do crabby for long….causes wrinkles! LOL 

Probably fermenting slim fast into hooch as we speak. Maybe you will get an invite to _that_ party. Hehe. /jk Sorry about your car, have you considered a 2nd opinion from another mechanic. Times are tough out there, and labor costs are flexible.  

We thought about it. But after paying for a tow, & the $80 diagnostic fee. We thought it wouldn't be much difference. Idk what we were thinking bringing it to a dealership. Too late now. 

Bummer Jess - about the car and the stealing of shakes. We had that problem at work for a while and everyone had to start bringing their own cooler with those ice packs and keeping their lunch in their room. The problem eventually fixed itself and we are now back to keeping all of our food in one fridge. I have a KC soft sided cooler if you want to use it for a while. I don't need it until Mustang season starting Memorial Day. Good luck with the car stuff too.
