madjak30's Journal, 20 April 2012

Well, I survived Band Camp...and man, do they cater the food to the kids...chicken fingers & fries, soft tacos, pancakes for breakfast...I don't think I did very well diet wise and my blood sugars spiked a few times...

Back at the diet tomorrow...wifey is already waffling on the diet thing..."I just want to get in shape, so I just want to exercise more not diet"...oh well, it has to be her choice...I just hope she doesn't have to become diabetic to see clearly (it runs in her family too)

I didn't get as much work as I would have liked, but that's what Mondays are for...

The kids had a blast, and I enjoyed myself too...some of the other parents have been there before, so I had people to visit with...and it turned out that the Instructor from the other school, worked with my wifey last year...so I knew her too...it was her first year at Band Camp, so it was nice that she at least new someone...

Later.

Welcome back Madjak. I used to think like your wife. I found out I was wrong, and sometimes thats what it takes. Someone once told me its 80% what you eat, and 20% what you do, and now that is what I believe. I have been lazy as hell (sometimes in a cast), and still losing weight nicely by counting calories. Anyway, be careful, its your wifey, lol. I just got yelled at for telling my wife her "after bike ride" smoothie probably had more calories than a donut. She did not take that well.

Yup, I decided it is best to let her find out herself unless she asks. There is no sense in pointing it out and starting an arguement. I have found the same thing...mostly what or how much you eat and not as much what you do. What you do has more to do with toning muscles, not weight loss. Later.
