Good Morning,
Today is another day and of course this diet hasn't let up yet. I woke up this morning so hungry! My stomach is not usually growling when I get out of bed, but this morning I was so hungry that I felt like I was going to be sick on my stomach! I'm getting ready to eat a few slices of beacon in a few minutes.
Induction is so rewarding in so many ways. I can't express enough how well my body responds to induction. My scale is moving so gracefully and if it wasn't for my scale moving, I know that I would be back to cheating.
I have been thinking....when I get down to 170Lbs, I am very seriously considering on Weight Watchers or South Beach Diet. Nothing against Atkins! I absolutely love The Atkins Diet....I think for me the only part of Atkins I do correctly is the induction stage. I may just try to take -Life After Induction- a little more seriously and see where that takes me. I know how to do it I just haven't done it. I'm just not feeling Atkins as a lifetime diet yet. I don't think I've ever thought of it that way. I'll try to figure something out before then....I have plenty of time to come up with something that works for me.
I hope everyone is doing well and good luck on your diets. I am making these first few weeks really count for me. After I get the pounds off, I will then work on maintaining. Wish me luck!

I'm glad you are doing so well! I enjoy my "morning" foods as well. I feel so energized after my spinach & egg omelette! I've been considering the alternatives also. I think I'm more leaning toward keeping it on the low carb side but when I reach 135, I'm gonna go into my own... low carb, whole wheat thing. I'm trying to teach myself portion control already by measuring out things and keeping track of my caloric intake each day. It surprises me how quickly the calories can add up when you aren't counting them! Like today, for instance, I'll end up w/ 905 ... after my pc. of sf gum, lol. I know you will find something that you can do the rest of your life. When I figure out what caloric intake I need to stay at my ultimate goal weight... then I will mainly watch that, for the rest of my life. I'm rootin' for ya girl!! xoxo

Lori, It's so funny how all of these commercials are stressing on the fact that we should watch calorie intake. Nothing at all about Carbs. Makes me wonder if it would be more comfortable for me to watch calorie intake instead of Carbs. I mean I am sure that there are more than one way to skin a cat! I can do Atkins but I'm just not comfortable doing it. I need a wide varity of foods all of the time and sometimes I need to be able to get my hands on it quick....meaning not standing in the kitchen. The whole kitchen scene is just not me. I tried to make it me, but I hate being in there unless I am going in the refrigerator LOL! I even had a small flat screen installed in the kitchen and that didn't even work. My boyfriend always watch the games on it when he is washing dishes or cooking(I have a dishwasher, I don't know why he wants to handwash) I'm just not a good homemaker when it comes to preparing dinner. I will do it for the sake of this diet but, I don't know, I tired of cooking in bulk. This diet is especially a challenge when I am at a restaurant. I mean, you are just so limited. Calorie counting is respected at just about all restaurants.
