I am a chocoholic and plan on at first cutting out the fat with the chocolate, in other words, I can eat chocolate but no more chocolate chip cookies, Dove chocolate bars, Safeway chewy chocolate cookies or Ben and Jerry's icecream or Hershey bar or m&m plain or peanut. I plan on counting calories, too, because a 5'4" person can only eat 1,000-1500 calories a day and still lose some weight. I am going to write everything down that I eat because that is the only way to stop eating at the end of the day, when I run out of calories. I am choosing McDougall's diet plan because I went to his 9 day live-in and lost 4 lbs., but also lost 30 points of cholesterol and 2-3 inches around the waist. I haven't gained any weight this year but I haven't lost any either because of the desserts. I exercise 3 times a week for one hour so that helps keep the weight down.
