Day 4 of this low carb protocol.
So far I think I am doing it right. I am aiming to keep my carbs 10%, Protein 20% and fat 70% as a guide.
I am not being super strict. But I am trying to make sure if I keep my carbs really low, I add fat in. So far no headaches at well. I am eating the vitamins recommended by my doctor and in the Grain Brain book.
I only got light headed yesterday as I was driving home, and I think it was because I did not eat enough. So I learned from that and to make sure I do not eat too little, which seems to happen to me when I attempt low carb.
Overall I am feeling great. It hasn't been hard keeping the carbs low. No carb flu thank god. I plan to start testing to see if my body is making keytones soon.
Yesterday I trained pretty hard. I seemed fine, no lightheadedness. My energy was moderate- it could be better once I start sleeping better.

I did notice I am not falling asleep easily. I think it is because of my anxiety with work and life. I have been very anxious about my decisions I am making in my career. My goal is to transition from full time to freelance and build my own freelance career being self employed graphic/apparel designer. I feel like I have SO much to do and prep before I truly change my current situation. I am trying to do more yoga and meditate to help with my anxiety.

Hope everyone is doing good out there. :)

fasting can cause insomnia. - and anxiety. The MCT oil, if you're using it, can amp you up. I can only use it in the morning.

@erikahollister I put coconut oil in my coffee in the morning and drink it from 7-9 depending how long it takes to finish. Thing is I feel tired when I walk my dog around 7-8pm but when I laydown at 10...I just cannot get myself to sleep and it takes me like 45min to fall asleep and then I am asleep by 11! When I want to be asleep by 10! Maybe I should try settling down better before bed
