For the first time in a few months I went out and was social. We have a local group that meets up at a karaoke bar after hours (one of the group members owns the place) and we do Japanese karaoke, watch anime/J-Dramas and just generally goof around.

I had a great time, but I completely ruined my dieting. Between the alcohol, Japanese snack chips and mint Oreos, it was a downward spiral (which I didn't mind at the time, justifying it by telling myself I deserved a break after working 20 hours in the last two days...).

Woke up feeling off, partially dehydrated. Downed a bunch of water before my hour on the elliptical machine at the gym (which I'm having a hard time believing when it says I'm burning 700 kcal in an hour).

Due to working so much lately I haven't had much time or energy to put in an actual workout this week, but I'm not hugely upset considering that I'm on my feet constantly at work. Unfortunately, because of this I think I stressed my left ankle. Yesterday after work and this morning after my workout, the inside of my left ankle feels tense and tight, painful when I step down. It doesn't look swollen though, so I'm wondering if ice would even be beneficial.

oh man, getting out somewhere like that for the first time in a few months sounds pretty fantastic, ruined diet or not. and hey, at least you got right back at it the next day. sticking to your plan, you'll be back ahead in no time. (and good luck with the part you deleted. i hope it works out.)

Hang in there! At least you had a good time ☺ ! Just relax a little and take care of that ankle. When you're working hard it makes it hard to keep up and you have to cut yourself some slack. Just keep trying to do your best and you'll make it.... PS, what J-Dramas did you get to check out?? I've not seen any good ones lately...
