I'm taking a chance today and not using my walker. #1 I don't want to rely on it so much when I'm out of the house, and #2 it's such a pain not being able to carry food from the office kitchen to my desk without either asking a coworker for assistance, or putting it in a bag and hoping it doesn't spill everywhere between point A and point B. The back spasms are greatly reduced, so I'm very grateful that my sister has been able to give me some of her time almost every night since I hurt it. I definitely wouldn't be working and moving as well as I am without her.

I doubt I would have survived a battle with my freezer last night, were it not for her. I have a bottom freezer and somehow the ice maker got turned on. (I don't use it because the water's not filtered and therefore the ice it produces makes everything taste bad.) Regardless I heard a loud rumbling from the fridge when I sat down to eat. Thought I should check it out, so opened the door and had ice come pouring out all over the floor. Once I got it all picked up, I then had the painful chore of emptying everything out of the freezer. Whew! At least this was one job none of the cats wanted to help me with. (lol)

Hope all goes well without the walker. My MIL's has a seat that pulls down to sit on, it also doubles as a handle table to set things on. It's much handier.
