mikecontos's Journal, 23 December 2011

Didn't see it coming!I was expecting extra temptation and some time constraint with regard to food and exercise, but fate has tossed in a few curveballs this year.
It has been a bit challenging this year to stick to the plan, and it has not been due to the extra abundance of the vittles lying around. Its been TOUGH professionally in terms of time and stress added on to the usual amped up Christmas stuff to get done.
Here is what I am learning....
1.I can still do the best that I can to stick with it. (And for the most part I am doing okay, just not as okay as I want to, and I am my own worst critic)
2. By staying the course to the best of my ability it will be much easier to get back into the swing when the holidays are over.
I generally love the holidays and I am by no meanss a grinch. I am however ready for this little stretch to be done with and to a return of "normalcy" (whatever that is!) in my life!
I try to keep the "drama" stuff out of my posts, but if it pertains to my health / maintenance I try to share. Thanks for letting me vent a bit.
