I hit a wall many weeks ago with our diet plan and my wife and I decided to try reducing refined sugars and removing Glutin from our diet. The initial rationale was to target belly fat based on research we had read. We did not change our diet that much, just substituted honey for sugar in most things and tried Glutin free products in lieu of regular grocery options.

Since starting this on 11/20/11, I have found that I am less bloated after meals and have less cravings between meals. I continue to have a fruit snack @ ~10AM and ~3PM daily because it is the 'right thing' to do, but I don't get any hunger pangs that remind me to eat at those times. I am not 100% sure why this is, but I know I love the impact it is having with my diet! I lost 1.5lbs in week one and I expect similar results next official weigh in later this week.

Make no mistake, while it is easy to identify and reduce most refined sugars from your diet, finding Glutin free options in regular grocery stores is challenging, but the rewards in my case are worth it. I am not naive enough to say this is for everyone, but if you have hit the wall as I did, then maybe you can try it for a few weeks to see if it works for you too. Cheers!!
