It's WHAT we eat and not so much HOW MANY Calories we eat.
I've been always against on focusing so much on amount of daily Calories, it cannot be a set rule.
Eat 1200 calories and you'll be skinny...that's just wrong in my opinion.
There's a huge difference between 1200 calories of Doritos and 1200 Calories of balanced meal plan.
I eat only a roughly amount of 500 Calories per day and you'll be surprised how much food I can have if I choose it wisely.
Once I eliminate sugar, carbs or some fats calories are so low in my food...just this should tell us something about the way we eat.
Happy FAT releases to everyone!

Absolutely correct! Anything that spikes insulin will store fat, if you're insulin resistant.

Absolutely NOT correct. 1200 is not a random made up #. It represents the # of calories the body NEEDS to operate. Any less and it will not just burn fat stores but it will destroy MUSCLE to continue operation.

500 calories a day is not healthy nor safe. I'm with Gregward on this one. Increase your caloric intake goal with healthy food. You'll lose the weight. Just don't forget to balance it with exercise.

Gregward when you have 1200 Calories is based on what exactly? I don't think we can generalize this number for anyone. What about if I'm 7 feet tall? Or 5 feet? Still 1200? What about if I'm 300 pounds? Or just 30 pounds overweight? Would that make any difference? Counting calories helps you only to keep track on how much you eat, it doe not necessarily help you to lose weight. Being on diet and NOT being in Ketosis means losing muscles and not fat. I believe that no one should keep on doing any diet without being sure that what is lost it was just fat. Otherwise you will gain back everything once you start to eat just a bit more of anything!
