MerryWeather's Journal, 02 November 2011

I gained 2 pounds in the last two days. I think it is fluctuations. I am watching the Biggest Loser and one lady gained 5 pounds in a week. I mean she has nutritionist and personal trainers and nothing else to do all week but eat well and work out and she still gained weight. So I think this is all a normal part of the process. I have been UNDER my RDI all week (all month really) and I am doing the cardio and I just added the strength training so I know I am on the right track and this is what is best for my body. It is a slight bit discouraging though. I was only 0.4 pounds away from my next goal and I was excited to get there. The good thing is I am still on track for being on schedule AND the best news of all is that despite the weight gain, I have stuck to my healthy eating and exercise even in the mist of Holiday Parties!

So, I move forward into November with the strength of more than a month down successfully and 10 pounds behind me! I have good skills for handling the holiday parties ahead and I feel better and stronger than before.

Yes it is a fluctuation. Don't fuss too much about gains from day to day. I see gains of as much as 5 lbs on the weekends following my spike day, but it never fails to come back off through the week. Last week was a great one for me as far as staying close to my calorie targets & getting my exercise in, but I had a lot of muscle soreness towards the end of the week since I hit the weights extra hard & did 2 really good runs. I retained some water because of that so didn't see a loss for the week, but it's not a big deal. I'll just do my thang again next week & it will all even out. Congrats on your losses so far & keep up the hard work!
