I think it is a good thing and a bad thing to walk after it gets dark...both involve it being a bit scarier...bad thing is the fear of getting attacked walking by myself with the kids in the stroller...good thing being I keep my pace up (even with both kids sitting and the groceries in the stroller) and it gets my heart pumping lol. That burns more calories right??
I am fully aware of the dangers of night time walking especially over a bridge and such but I have to do it when I have time and plan around meals and so on. I planned for dinner at subway (inside Wal-mart) so after eating and shopping I headed home at 7 and it's really dark at 7 now.
On another positive note I ate a salad and my daughter finished her sandwich without any problems. I got praised for choosing oatmeal raisin cookies for the kids treat which they only got after eating their dinner. My son had their soup which was brown rice and chicken or something like that. Even after eating her cookie my daughter finished her apple slices and threw all the garbage away. Some days they make me so proud :) I occasionally get great days with complete behavior in public and my daughter was even trying to pick up all the thing that had fallen from racks being it hats, clothes, or even just hangers :)
All in all a much needed walk and another needed tomorrow for more food, not all the way to Wal-mart this time though :)
