RubyRedSox's Journal, 04 October 2011

Surprised, I'm still under 115 when I weighed myself this morning. My size 6 jeans are loose so hoping by November I can get some new pants though I'm unsure if I can fit a size 4. What I'm really looking for is legging type pants as they are so comfy against my sensitive skin.

This is the time of year I want to stay in my jammies, eat soups and hug my teddy bear because of the fibro. This season is different because I may soon be joyfully looking after Lilly and this place is so unorganized right now. I need to get it together but in the mornings I remain mostly in my room as my roommate (son) works nights. So the difference in schedules are a challenge after living alone so long. However, I really enjoy his company and we get along quite well.

I still need to find a doctor and take take of other details. I hope not to need to move again for a long time.

May you all have a blessed day!
♥Ruby

My you're tiny--size 6 loose jean---only in my dreams. Moving is such a pain especially when we have a few pains of our own. I'm trying to take room by room and deep clean---that's bad enough. Find a good doctor and you'll be ready for your new job (babysitting). Enjoy your new life.

Ruby just saw that you had to make an emergency move...hope all is well. I am sure living with your son will be an adjustment, but at least you are closer to your children, and little Lilly!! How exciting to be able to take care of her full time. Will it be at your place or your daughter's? Hope the fibro settles down for you. Love and gentle hugs my sweet friend!

Rita, yeah.. a loose size 6 does seem pretty small especially from where I started. The last time I was this size I was in my earlier 30's. Actually I was about a size or so smaller but I fluctuated so much while in my 1st marriage.♥

Hey Stef:D I will be caring for Lilly at my place. It's only about a 15 minute drive from where my daughter would be working so it would work out very well. I have a bed for her (actually a combo playard/bassinet) but the rest will have to come in time. My daughter has an extra car seat and stroller I can use, so that will help a lot. I'm going to need learning toys, dvds and books in the near future. Any ideas? I'm rather limited with transportation and finances. I use to homeschool when mine were in their early grades so this is something I really enjoy.♥♥♥

Ruby, I will give it some thought, but it has been so long since I have had any little ones around what I would think of is probably outdated! lol Glad that you are going to be able to help Tia out! Hugs! <3<3<3<3<3

Oh Bren, veggie tales. Thanks for the suggestion. Admittedly I'm familiar with the name but that's all. Fortunately it's on Netflix so I'll check it out. It's so challenging with the new characters as I raised my kids in the mid 70's and 80's. I feel so outta the loop! Fortunately, working with an infant I still some time to learn (grins)♥

Thanks Stef! I'm up for any and all suggestions. I understand the mechanics of teaching as I've done that but I'm so limited on energy and finances. Actually, it's the energy part I'm most worried about. My fibro really saps me sometimes so if I don't want to plant her in front of the tv, I need to find things she can eventually do on her own. My dear mom, bless her, had way more energy in her 70"s than I do right now. I do want to get Lilly into books and learning activities. I can start with reading to her periodically so I'm looking on amazon.com for books.♥
