Good Morning, FS Warriors! It has certainly been a while since I have shared everything you never wanted to know was going on in my life. Retirement is exhausting! But wonderful! I rewired the old Ford 8N tractor and got it running, drove around the block a few times, and then went and dragged some dirt around. I guess I'm a farmer wannabe; I just love old tractors. Finally decided to start finishing the floor downstairs where we are going to put in the Endless Pool. I had already broke up the concrete and put in gravel and a sump pump. Now I have installed the membrane on the wall that will direct any seepage down under the poured floor, which I hope to complete in the next week or two. Then we will begin assembling the pool itself. Found seven old heavy duty file cabinets that were used for tool storage at Caterpillar for sale on one of the social media pages, bought them and brought them home for tool storage out in the old gymnasium. They were heavy. Got a good deal on two trailer fulls of board lumber (free), which I hope to resaw and use for the new floor on the stage in the old gym.

Progress is slow on the weight loss. I finally just decided to eat when I was hungry and quit while I was still a little hungry. Seems to be working. To be quite honest, I am beginning to believe that the daily recommended doses of food are not all that reliable. For example, they say that a man needs a minimum of 1800 calories and women need a minimum of 1200 calories a day. Perhaps that is true when you are young and on the move all the time, but I'm not so sure that is necessarily true when you get older. Maybe it is true when you are in the Maintenance Mode; I really don't know. I'll let you know if I ever get there. If, while I am working, I start to feel a bit nauseous, I'll grab a bite to eat.

The grass was starting to get a little tall in spots all over the yard last week, so I mowed. Last night it went down into the 20's. Crazy! I have been asked how I'm doing on the old '59 Chevy Panel Truck. I haven't touched it yet. I made a promise that I would finish the pool and the kitchen before I played with it. I even have a spare V8 Chevy engine standing by in case the old original 6 cylinder engine is shot. I am hoping to keep everything original though. I have yet to wire the entire gymnasium; it gets a little depressing trying to work out there with inadequate lighting. As most of you know, I installed a new electrical service entrance last year; now I just have drop-cords running everywhere.

I've got to rewire and install new ceiling lighting in the church in the next few weeks. The ceiling is 20 feet high. I have a 21 foot stepladder, but it weighs 108 pounds and it really takes two of us to move it around. I'd rather not get a hernia with all the things I have going on.

BTW, I am one week from completing my 3rd Ministry Preparation course through the Nazarene Bible College. It is extremely challenging and demanding. I average putting in between 18 and 25 hours per week on them. Sometimes I get to bed near one in the morning. I only get one week off between courses.

I don't know how I ever had time to go to work before. I have to be more serious about planning my day now than I did before. I did get a good deal on a 15 ft fishing boat, so I will find a way to go fishing this year - that is after I weld on a new trailer jack and rebuild the front casting platform. Haha, everything comes with a project. Well, I hope that you are all having a wonderful week. God bless you; Toodles!
