Ryojiin's Journal, 14 March 2016

I guess size 4 is impossible to find nowadays. After 2 hours and 5 stores, I found ONE pair of jeans in a cut and color I liked, and in size 4. I don't ever wanna hear fat people bitch about how they have nowhere to shop since nothing comes in their size. I found layers upon layers of sizes 8, 10, 12, all the way up through at least 22 of pretty much everything, but trying to find ONE size 4 pair of jeans, dark wash, narrow boot cut, long or regular length, was nearly impossible today.

My new job allows for jeans or any other solid colored pants, leggings included. So heck yeah, I love me some leggings. But I figure a nice pair or two of jeans would be good as well, since all but one pair I currently own are too big. So I went all over town looking, and everything was enormous, or patterned, or capri length/otherwise short, and all the leggings I found didn't pass the bend over opacity test. Even the $30 pair of Spankx brand leggings I found was too transparent to pass as work appropriate. So those will get returned today.

A friend of mine recommended workout leggings, and I'm not sure if they're allowed at this job. They're not really leggings, truthfully, and I know a lot of places don't allow them as work-appropriate pants or leggings, so I'm hesitant.

Now I don't know what to do. Where do people get fully opaque leggings, preferably black, that aren't like $40-$60 a pair? Even jeggings are okay at this point. Where do people get dark wash jeans, in narrow boot cuts, in smaller sizes but longer lengths? I just don't get it.

I bought black, blue & gray really nice leggings at Kohl's for about $20 each. Sonoma and Lauren Conrad brands. Don't know where to find Rocky Mountain jeans but I know you can get those plenty long and for skinny people.

I think western stores sell Rocky Mountain jeans but pricey.

Old Navy? Their regular leggings are thin but their workout stuff is a bit more substantial. They also have jeggings listed on the website. Might be a crapshoot as to what is available in a local store. And IMO their pants run long.

I go to the Guess outlet store when they have sales. I know I've seen jogging so there, and I believe jeans down to a size zero or 1.

I never wear them. I appreciate them though.

I've had good luck at Kohl's and at JCPenny. I look for the seamless leggings since they tend to be a tighter knit.
