An FYI - Amazon has Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard whey protein for the best price I've seen it, $46.39 shipped for a 5 lb container if you have Prime, otherwise free shipping with an order of $49 or more. That's a nice price for an excellent protein powder, it's normally $58, don't know how long it'll be at this price.

**UPDATE** - back to normal price. Was a quick sale I guess.

This powder contains sucralose, not a natural sweetener. There are better ones out there. Do you have headaches periodically ?

Whereistruth, no headaches at all. I've tried other protein powders with stevia and don't care for the taste. I'm not concerned myself with that small amount of sucralose, and the quality of protein is top notch. But to each their own, anyone concerned about consuming sucralose should not purchase this product.

I bought the 100% Whey Gold Standard Protein, Mocha Cappuccino 2 lb. for $29.99, going to check this out! Thanks for the info.

Price already went up....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Florida Angel, something is strange with the pricing. Double Rich Chocolate is now back to the higher price. But on my screen Mocha Cappucino and some other flavors are still lower priced. Try scrolling through the different flavors.

Seems as if the most popular flavors are increasing back to regular price, maybe there's a limit on how many they'll sell at the lower price of each flavor? Interesting.

Costco has $60 for 6.3lbs Chocolate: Optimum Nutrition Gold Whey

Thanks Mahjohn....my sister has a Costco membership so I'll keep that in mind next time I need it.

Oh wow...I see that, Thanks!

That is a good price. I bought the 5 pound with an additional 1 pound from groupon for $66 buck. The vanilla with a banana and no fat milk makes a great shake after a workout. I make enough for two 16 ounce glasses and freeze the rest. like ice cream when you want something sweet but a world better as far as nutrition goes.

as a side note, get the Optimum Nutrition Casein Protein also. Then whenever you make a shake, do 1/2 Whey, 1/2 Casein. Whey is fast digesting, Casein slower digesting.

Mahjon it's great to have protein blends. That way your body benefits the most from a variety of them. Side note: since your body focuses on repair during sleep, a higher percentage of the casein should be used prior to bedtime.

Good point Mahjohn. I was reading a lot of reviews that the Casein doesn't dissolve so there are big lumps. (Some really funny bad reviews I might add). I wonder about the Garden of Life Raw Protein and Greens mix (since I am awful at eating my veggies)

@stillMR305, agreed, my Casein is a higher amount late at night, as that's when I'm back from the gym. @Florida. I've never had a problem with the Optimum Nutrition Casein: 1 scoop Whey, 1 scoop Casein, 3 Tbspn Fage Total Greek Yogurt, 1 Scoop Waxy Maize (basically sugar), and 1 Tbspn of Peanut Butter :0)

Glen, there's 71 servings (scoops) in a 5lb container. My wife and I both do a scoop in our protein shake for lunch and occasionally we'll do another in the evening depending on where we stand with intake for the day. So 5 lbs lasts no longer than a month. Now it's all back to normal price so it must have been a quick mark down.
