slenderella's Journal, 25 February 2016

Slow and steady wins the race, and I am winning! One pound down since February 10, bringing me to a miraculous 157.1 pounds. I am thrilled. This is the weight my doctor wanted me to hit, in order not to be "overweight" according to my BMI. I realize there are problems with using BMI as a gauge, but hey, I've met my doctor's weight guideline, and that makes me happy.

In other news, a colleague convinced me to sign up for a 5K run/walk on March 13. If you had told me one year ago that I would be thirty pounds lighter and signed up for a 5K right now, I would have laughed and said you must be thinking of someone else. Mind you, I intend to WALK this one. I am going to try to run most or all of the 5K Color Run on June 25, but I am nowhere near ready for that yet!

Onward to 153!
157.1 lb Lost so far: 30.9 lb.    Still to go: 7.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Cute monicker: "Slenderella". Congrats on your accomplishments and aims. I am organizing "Paint" and "Bubble" races too! (Sponoring TeamBackup.org - a new nonprofit to support needy families and foster families) Hoping to do these races for my "bucket list wish 60th birthday" in April. Then again in July - honoring one of dearest soul sisters who passed away. Turns out that race is happening on her "heaven day"... The day she departed. Just noticed there is another color run in Seattle the day before my nephew's wedding, late Aug... So I am checking the pulse of family and friends to see who wants to wog with me (walk/jog). Wog on!
