Can you eat your eggs with no fat? Like boiled or poached? And coconut milk is really delicious in coffee, especially iced coffee.

Yes I could, I just use the fat to coat the pan so the egg doesnt stick and make a mess. I like poached eggs too. I was actually thinking of trying a different recipe. I found you can make mashed sweet potato in the oven, bake it. Make a hole in it and add an egg and bake the egg with the potato then sprinkle with bacon. Sounds amazing!

That DOES sound amazing!
And I just ate poached eggs, green beans and beets for lunch ;)

Hmmm now I am hungry :) I haven't had poached eggs in a long while. Its time to spice up breakfast. I am getting sick of just scrambled eggs every morning!

I just fry mine in a nonstick pan and they turn out fine. Or I fry them in my cast iron skillet in bacon grease, though I'm not sure that's what anyone needs to do ;)

Ghee is just unnecessary calories. I agree with Nikki - just go with the nonstick pan or hard boil the eggs. As an alternative to coffee, you could try black tea or caffeinated green tea. Personally, I don't get the trend of dumping extra saturated fat & calories in my coffee. (Those on FS who say they do this all weigh 40+ pounds more than me.)

I agree. I am actually enjoying my black coffee iced right now. I guess everyone just has different tastes. As for the fatty coffee. Not my thing. Only thing Ill add is a bit of coconut milk or homemade almond milk when I have it made. But for I am enjoying my regular tea without sweetener. I am actually getting used to it. I dont think I will ever go back to adding things to my tea.
For my eggs I have been adding a tiny bit of olive oil and so far it tastes good ^_^

Re: coffee... Although it takes a few days you will get used to whatever mix you start drinking. I lived in Turkey and drank it black with the grinds in the cup. I found I need the caffeine, but whatever else I use can get cut out.

I found at Trader Joe's a coconut creamer for my coffee. It is non dairy. Stick with the Whole30 for the entire 30 days, it will change your life. I dropped 13 pounds in 30 days. Also if you get the chance re the book "It Starts With Food". After my Whole 30 I keep track of carbs and eat all natural organic foods and now I am dropping weight naturally without a struggle. Good luck.

@ Bielak39 Thats so awesome to hear. I am actually going on a vacation for two weeks over the holiday. I am following the whole 30 loosely before vacation. But I plan on doing a strict 30 days starting Jan 4th once I am back. I am actually reading the "It starts with Food" book now!! I just started it and I plan to finish this weekend. I just need a reset so I can stop craving burgers with buns and french fries. Thats my worst =(
