Shrinking Sonya's Journal, 15 September 2009

Last night I got really frustrated. I had everything planned to be able to throw some pizzas in the oven for my hubby and the kids and run out the door to the gym after work. Instead, my stepdaughter fell on her skateboard and threw her shoulder out of place. So hubby and stepdaughter were in the ER for about 4 hours. SO... I couldn't put the pizzas in and leave for the gym, as I didn't want to leave a 15 yr old in charge of taking them out when they were done lol. My workout time got cut in half.

I FINALLY get to the gym and my cousin is in the cardio room. I smile and just get on the treadmill and get to work. Somehow he managed to convince me to come do his "routine" with him. I got SO aggravated because all of the sudden he started bossing me around telling me to do this, do that, etc. He's NOT a trainer. He's NOT that fit. And I only had time to get in the cardio I needed to get in, but instead wasted it standing around having him tell me what to do. GRRRR. That will not happen again. I love him, but next time I'm gonna say no.

That's why I work out on my own, when I want a trainer I will hire one, but I think his heart was probably in the right place. I hope your stepdaughter is okay.

did you learn anything from him, at least... to incorporate into your own workouts? I second the saying No!

Maybe I should have clarified, Christiet- a 15 yr old boy who's very ADHD. And he IS responsible... I just didn't want to leave that on his shoulders in addition to watching his little sister.
