jmb3450's Journal, 29 June 2015

We had a great time yesterday at our town park with my kids and grandkids, finishing the day with a very nice fireworks display. Lots of fun, I enjoyed myself in the food department a little too much so will be in damage control mode this week - targeting 1500 calories or less for at least the next couple days and drinking lots of water. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Thanks friends. It's a nice day out today and I'm looking forward to my lunch break - I have stairs and steps to conquer. They're sandblasting in the parking garage so I'll tour our facility grounds a couple times but can still get to the stairwells. Got plenty of carbs and sodium to burn and flush out.

Yup Glen, kids and grandkids are great for sure. I've gotten into the habit of wearing my fitbit all the time except when I shower or doing something that could mess it up like working on the car. I charge it every few days in the evening while watching TV or overnight if I forget, but that's every 4 days or so. If I don't have it on I feel naked.

Glen, the documentation says it'll last about 5 days on a charge. I don't want it to poop out on me in the middle of a day so I don't go more than 4 days between charges. It's supposed to take 1 to 2 hours to charge it, I always leave it for at least a couple hours, the first time I did charged it I didn't leave it long enough and the next day it said it was on low battery again. I've done it a couple times overnight too but prefer to wear it at night so it logs my sleep activity also. Once you get used to having all that data it's not hard to remember to charge/keep it on, I think I'm addicted to it. :)

LOL Jim....same here. I am not properly dressed unless I wear it. My charge lasts for 7 days. I do get a new one probably tomorrow as I was a bit rough drying the strap as I glowed a bit much and the starp broke. Can't believe they don't do replacement straps like they have for the flex :(. will all my data just transfer over? Do you know?

Tina - ClassicRocker is getting a replacment today I think - she mentioned there was an option to set up for a new user or an existing user. I would think that if you set it up for an existing user you'd get all your data to transfer but don't know for sure. So you're having to replace the entire thing for the broken strap? Did they cover it under warranty hopefully?

I bought mine through Amazon. I did try the fitbit site but just got send round in circles. Then I emailed amazon customer service and as I only had it for 5 month and considering the prize I paid for it (£99) they send out a replacement imidiately :). I would have been happy with a new strap but they don't seem to do them for the charge.

I've always had great customer service with Amazon Tina, no hesitation to buy stuff that they fulfill the order on.
