Was riding Thursday morning and noticed a car go flying by with it's hazards on. Figured it was a paper delivery guy until more of them went by. Then I realized it was the volunteer fire department. As I got to a road junction and made a right turn, I noticed that there appeared to be something going on up ahead of me. I didn't see what it was because I turned, but I hoped everything was all right. I didn't see any smoke so it wasn't a fire.
Turns out there was a head on collision between two cars with a fatality. I guess I'm glad I turned when I did and didn't have to come across that. From what I could see the first responders were just arriving as I got there and it wouldn't have been a good place to be. Other than that, it was a very nice ride.

Oh yea, it's been a year since I started here. I've been very complacent lately basking in the progress I've made. But lately I've been thinking that I still have some work to do. I restarted my diet and am going to try to be back on the wagon starting today.

Ulk!! I'm glad you didn't happen upon the accident either. Or more importantly, that the first responders weren't for you!
And welcome back to the fold. I just refound "focus" myself. Hopefully it will show itself to you too. :0)

Whoa! It's always interesting how sometimes you make decisions and find out it diverted you from something horrible. Been wearing my Road ID since my near accident a week or so back. SCARY! Glad to know your safe.
