The results of a CT scan of my brain found that I have had a mini stroke. When I was diagnosed with high blood pressure last year, I vowed to make my health a priority by eating healthier and exercising. Now I am scared and determined not to let this second chance God has given me be in vain. I cannot fail...I will not fail.

The Serenity Prayer helps me...And it sounds like, by making your health your priority you are doing what you have control over. Take one day at a time and remember to stop and smell the roses. Also, be supportive of yourself/be your own best friend. Meaning on days you do not do as well as think you should have...say to yourself what you would say to a friend. Often times we are kinder to others than we are to ourself.

This was my main WHY for losing weight also. I’m 67 and had a mini stroke most likely caused by high blood pressure. I lost 50 pounds and no longer have to take medication for HP. 🙏

That's a good attitude and keep eating healthy and also movement is good for heart health ( of course when Dr says it's ok)
