Today was a girl's day before heading to work.
I rode my bike downtown, wearing one of my favourite black denim skirts, with bike shorts underneath. The skirt was a bit big, but I figured, hey, just going to have an early dinner and maybe wander for a bit and do some window shopping.
I lock up my bike and I realize that the sky looks a bit ominous and I don't have an umbrella. I call my girlfriend, tell her to meet me at our appointed place in about 15 minutes and let her know I'm going to buy a cheap umbrella.
I run across the street to the store and, it hits me, my skirt is awfully long. Like, past my knees long. I look down and I see almost two inches of shorts above the waist of my skirt! OOPS!
So I buy safety pins and an umbrella and pin myself into the skirt.
Needless to say, even safety pinned in, the skirt was NOT staying up, so I had to buy a new skirt. (And it took a while, because it needed to be roomy enough to ride in!)
Feels a bit strange, wearing stuff that fits...I mean, stuff that actually hugs my curves and shows off my weight loss, rather than hanging off me like a potato sack.
