jmb3450's Journal, 22 January 2015

216 lbs this morning, up 2 lbs from yesterday. Frustrating as I've been running a decent calorie deficit and have faithfully exercised. Last night we had rotisserie chicken for dinner and it tasted pretty salty so it could be excess sodium. My average daily calories for the month are higher than I want at 2072 so I'll work on adjusting the rest of the month to bring it down. Today I'll be eating light, limiting sodium and drinking lots of water. Tomorrow is official weigh in for the week, maybe I can still hit a loss, we'll see.

^Truth :) Keep on keepin on, sometimes we just have to trust the process even when the scale disagrees. You're doing a great job!

It sounds like you've targeted the problem; I feel pretty confident that since you've already lost so much that this is just a minor bump.

Feel your pain on that -- amazing how much impact sodium can have -- good news is it isn't real and goes away as fast as it came --

The ups and downs are normal...take your average at the end of the week, maybe?

HCB, I'm not worried about today's gain, just a little frustrating when you know you're doing things right and you get a 2lb gain overnight. I'll record whatever the scale reads tomorrow. There are too many confirmations I see in other ways that tell me I'm on the right path. I feel better, look better, and am in better frame of mind that I've been in years. As the song goes, "life is good today."
