Blood Rose's Journal, 26 May 2022

The last yearish I have been struggling with energy levels and fighting to drop weight, I have been thinking im just not working hard enough, its stress, i need to exercise more (even though I do about 10 - 12 fitness classes a week) wondering why I just dont lose any weight ... well i finally went to the doctor and turns out my thyroid is severely underactive (so glad it wasnt all in my head) but now as per medical aid protocol to be put on chronic meds i must wait another 2.5 months to get another test done first ... so I must sit with hair loss, fatigue, brain fog, depression, weight issues for more months to prove its chronic even after the first test shows that ... happy to have an answer but so frustrated I can do nothing about it yet

Been there, done that. Every so often I end up with a flare up that I have to take extra-hard-core (chemo based) meds as well for a few months. Medical aid never makes it easier.

Cause then it will be my cost for the rest of my life, no point paying so much to a medical aid if I don't make use of them even if they have very frustrating hoops to jump through sadly ... R40/month isn't expensive but added up every month for the rest of my life it is (I also dont know what meds they want to prescribe so could be more than that)
