i have been having a pretty good last few weeks with eating healthier and watching my calories. i have been pretty good about tracking, too. not 100% but getting back on it. i feel really good. it is definitely harder to stay on course with my job and living in hotel rooms. i am not able to prepare all my meals but i am learning how to make healthier choices. i get tempted but i know i am happier when i stick to eating more healthy. i always choose subway for lunch (always working different places at lunch time) if it's available and somedays i do pack a lunch and healthy snacks so i am not tempted by other foods. it's a challenge sometimes because i work at grocery stores and am basically surrounded by food all day long. today my co-worker asked me to pick her up a donut after i had lunch because the donut shop was next to subway. and i went right in there, bought HER one donut and did not let myself off track. the other day we were at a mexican restaurant and i didnt have a single tortilla chip! i feel proud of these little moments. i am starting to feel 100% in control of my food choices and starting to learn how to control my temptations and choose wisely. obviously i know i will want to have indulgences and even today i shared a reeses peanut buttercup with my coworker. i saw that it was 200 calories which did not seem worth it, so having half seemed like a good compromise. and i really enjoyed my 1/2 of it. i didnt even need the whole thing! things are improving and i am glad to be back!
