Sherillynn's Journal, 13 April 2011

Well, my frustration is peaking here. I am up yet again on my weight. I tried to incorporate some of the changes that were suggested to me and nothing. I had 2 days where I fasted a meal for church and I knew that would slow me down some but I didn't expect it to turn me in the opposite direction.
I will give it one more week and if nothing happens, I may switch diets. I was so sure that Atkins was the right one for me. Now I am at a loss as to what to try.
On a brighter note, I had a great day yesterday with my niece again. We are almost done with her quilt top for her school project. She's really learning very quickly how to sew. Her seams are much straighter and she is even learning to press and pin. One more big sewing session out to have her finished. She is so excited to show it to her friends. She even took photos for Facebook.

Okay, the first question I am going to ask...is it possible that you are preTOM? The gain may be water. As for frustration, I completely understand, I didn't lose anything between October and March, other than the 5 pounds that I gained over Christmas. You have lost 10 pounds in a month...that is a decent and steady weight loss, and what you need to remember is that there will be fluctuations. It WILL go back down again. I have looked at your complete diet calendar and your percentages for March were slightly different than for April...in March you were at an average of 93.13 grams of fat, 75.98 grams of protein, and 43.34 grams of carbohydrates, for these percentages...13% carbs, 63% fat, and 24% protein. For April, 103.47 grams of fat, 83.75 grams of protein, and 32.87 grams of carbohydrates for these percentages...9% carbs, 66% fat, and 25% protein. These are your daily averages. Your average daily caloric intake for March is 1334 calories and for April it is 1417. For calories burned in March that number is 2590 Kcal per day, and for April it is 2615 Kcal per day. The difference in calories in vs calories out is just about the same, which isn't really important with Atkins, but I include it here just so you can see that hasn't changed. Which leaves the composition precentags. I would go back to the percentages you were useing when you were losing. Regardless...don't give up, it will start to move the other direction again. Hugs and hang in there! And it is so awesome that your niece is learning to quilt. That is exciting! Please post a pic of her quilt when she is done. Have a great Wednesday!
