CARBS NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the last couple of days I have been on the biggest carb-binge in recent times...this has included bread, eggplant parmesan, crackers, bagel, cinnabon twists with cream, scone, pastry, risotto, and now pizza!!! All of this includes just the last three days!!! Yikes!!!!!!!!!

I feel bloated, super full, horribly guilty, and out of control. I want to quit this madness!!! Some of this has been out of force of habit, not trying hard and just giving in, and others of it is due to travelling out of town (I left for Portland yesterday and will be gone for a week total). I can't use vacation as an excuse..I don't want to not fit in my new clothes and/or look terrible in pictures, and not be ready for my summer goal. Besides, I am starting a new running program, and want to not get tired due to carbs-overload.

As of tonight, I'm goign on a strict CARBS-WATCH!! I have to make chocies that involve none to just minimal carbs (the good kinds only!), or else skip that meal until I find a better option....

Tonight I am stressed and trying to prepare my big speech for tomorrow's conference presentation, so I'll overlook these transgressions. But tomorrow, after my meeting, I want to come back to the hotel and work out well for an hour (running mostly). I did workout yesterday after a long day of no sleep and flying, jet lag etc. And I want to work out the rest of the week here. Period.

i know what youre saying about the carb bloat i find that happens to me too. i can only eat about 1 slice of bread a week otherwise i bloat something awful. i find if i can drink mega amounts of water it helps get rid if the bloat.good luck.

The list of carbs you ate made me start drooling! I feel the same way when I eat too many carbs. It's an awful feeling. Glad you have a plan for getting those carbs under control. And I'm running right along with you, Sister! You want to race? LOL Good luck with your speech tomorrow! :)

HMMM...as your trainer, and as your dearest friend, I have no idea how I should view this discrepancy! Does the word "Permissive" mean anything to you? (you know exactly what I'm talking about, dude!) I'll say no more about that! I'm glad you found the gym, and i'm glad your recommitted yourself to being good! that's one thing about you! once you commit, it's a sealed deal! look out, here she comes! :)

ps...LOVE YOUR SPEECH! well...not really LOVE the speech, but the pitch is way better and the tone is definitely gooder than before, and the way you smile when you say EGOTISTICAL, is off the hook! You're gonna knock em dead! just remember, EYE OF THE TIGER! ;)

oh! and I really do LOVE the speech! it's just that statistics were not really my strong side in school! I know that's hard to believe, since you often accuse me of being the smartest person you've ever known (Oh please! you're too kind!) BUT! once you move past the statistics and shift over to talking about the other Schtuff...I noticed how everyone, including myself, perked right up and paid full attention! hee hee! love ya!

Carbs. What can I say? They get the best of us all at one time or another. I've noticed that your issues of out of control eating and your levels of stress are definitely aligned with one another. Like the book title says, "It's Not What You're Eating, It's What's Eating You". Find ways to deal with the stress and you will be sure to find that the carbs don't call your name so loudly or so often. I wish you luck, my friend!
