Baileyrose85's Journal, 25 September 2014

So my doctors appointment today was very depressing..... Baby is good. 16 weeks yesterday but my weight it very bad.... I have added another 10lbs or so. I am only 10lbs from where I was at delivery with my first so my chances of staying at or below are slim to none since I still have another 23 weeks or so to go. I have decided I need to go back to counting calories so I am at least aware of what I am putting in my mouth. I am also going to attempt to cut out (at least down) the grains... We'll see how that goes. It seems to be all I want to eat lately. On the upside, I got the results of my Maternity21 tests on Monday. We will be having a healthy baby GIRL in March! My husband is ready to jump off the local bridge. We are also putting in an offer on a house today. Gonna need a lot more room with the new addition.

Exciting about the house! I hope it all works out! I'm struggling to come to terms with pregnancy weight as well - it's tough not to just eat whatever whenever!! I think tracking is a smart plan... and congrats on the baby girl!! :)

Congrats and good luck with the house! I am not baby making but I think I have to get back to tracking too, very soon.

Congrats on the baby girl!! I have two (more grown-15 and 6yo), and they're weird and wonderful. Good luck on the new house! As for your diet, cutting the grains and other carbs are a step, but you want to get fiber. Add beans and lots of green veggies (the darker the better). With those choices, you'll watch your weight, get the nutrients you and Baby Girl need, and your waistline will thank you. Are you exercising much? With baby #2, I was at the gym on the treadmills as much as I could be. I had gestational diabetes, so exercise was just short of mandatory. Talk about strict diet!! But, I brought books books books, and would just walk. Good times!!
