That's no good. No joke about your crazy training- gotta pace yourself! Hope it heals quickly! I know how frustrating a foot injury can be. ;-)

I only did 15.56 miles this week, that's less than last week (16.18)! I don't get it, it's probably all the speed work I included, not the distance. I didn't go over the 10% rule.

Ouch! Definitely take a week off. I've had running injuries like that as well. Did you start hill training this week? That's when I got injured last was my first week with hill training.

No I was planning to do it yesterday at the park but couldn't cos it started hurting during my 5K and I managed to finish it thru the pain.. But now when I look at it, that park is very bumpy - a lot of up and down hills. Elevation Gain: 61 ft Elevation Loss: 44 ft Min Elevation: 585 ft Max Elevation: 605 ft So maybe that's the reason, I was trying to speed up (as usual).. How did u heal ur foot? How long did it take ya? I don't wanna take any days off!!! :-o

I had extensor tendonitis, which is on the top of your foot. I tried running through the pain at first but it just kept getting worse. Luckily though, I could bike with that injury. So I biked for a week to keep my cardio up while resting my foot for a week. I believe you CAN run through achilles tendonitis, but it will take much longer to heal if you do. The best thing you can do is stretch, ice, and rest it for a week.

I'm not sure if it is achilles tendonitis tho cos the pain is going more up to my calf, almost to my knee. I'm thinking I'm gonna bike next week anyway (work) at lest 1.5hr a day and walking at least 3hrs a day so I can allow myself a week off from running, I guess..

Yeah it sucks to take the time off from running when you're making such good progress, but it's unfortunately something that has to be done. Once you're back to running it will only take a week to be back to your old self! Don't let it get you down!

Thanx Pat! I'm gonna listen to my body and take time off.
