Surprise sushi dinner. Maybe he is just a chubby-chaser??? I love my husband. I really do. And, there are far worse things that a man can do besides take you out to dinner. I'm far from mistreated by him. But, it is so tough for me to say no when you set a pizza in front of me...or sushi...or cakes and pie and donuts. GAHHHH! I logged in the sushi last night using the closest description I could figure but I feel like I have underestimated the calories in the sushi roll that I ate. I expect my caloric intake was probably closer to 2000 calories for yesterday. I have nothing to really confirm that...only that the sushi roll tasted much better than just 680 calories.

Got my run in this morning. First three miles were faster than yesterday but I just must have lost momentum in the last two miles as my overall time was pretty much the same as yesterday. It got suddenly humid 2.5 miles in. And, by suddenly humid I mean that I was going along enjoying the run with a nice, early morning breeze and then all of a sudden the wind stopped, the temperature seemed to crank up 25 degrees, my T-shirt was soaked with sweat, and it felt like I was running with cinder blocks on my feet. After the run, the fun just didn't stop. I couldn't figure out what to wear to work (I need to start laying out my clothing for work the night before), stepped in dog poop barefooted as I clearly failed to let my dog out for a potty break before my morning run, hunger set in like I had been lost in the wilderness for days without food and water and I ultimately ended up running late for work. My husband noted that I have become cavalier in my attitude towards work. Eh...maybe. Or maybe I just needed to get my workout in to minimize a hostile work environment for all with whom I may come in contact. Anyway...I was 20 minutes late. Didn't shower either. Just wiped off the sweat, hosed down my foot that fail victim to my Frenchie's feces, sprayed some body spray and perfume and slapped on deodorant then threw on a suit. Yeah...typing that makes me realize just how gross I am at the moment.

The plan for tonight: Shower. Like as soon as I get home from work. Then, hit the stationary bike for an hour. Then, shower my gross self again. Oh, and let the dog out.

All things food: Husband has a fishing tournament tonight so he will probably be gone. I still have the pork I planned to make carnitas with last night. Maybe I will just make up a small batch of carnitas. Meeting my running buddy for lunch today at Subway. She is a school teacher and has the summer off work. Lucky dog.

Ok. Time to actually get some work done today.

Eh...I don't know that I have the guts to go for sashimi. I usually go for the foo-foo sushi (mostly shrimp and cream cheese). Roxy, I wouldn't sweat it if it were just one meal a week. But in the last month, it has occurred a whole lot more frequently than once a week.

I know it is pain in butt, but when I am doubt I create something I love to eat under the saved meal button. That way I can break down the calories line by line. I feel it gets pretty accurate.

Meh .. try it one time... okay, for me :-) If you can eat tuna out of the can, you can eat Sashimi - it's actually cleaner tasting (to me) w/o all that rice.

Lmao, chubby chaser. Wouldn't that be the way it goes, lose all the weight and our husband's lol. You will be okay, keep on moving and do the best you can when you can :)

Maybe tell your husband which foods (healthy ones) that would make you happier to be treated with, if you haven't already. Restaurants have healthy foods that taste really good and are a real treat too. Maybe he just doesn't know which foods you'd prefer. I hope your day gets better. At least you got your run in and part of it went really well, and your plans for the evening sound really good :)
