So I had family in town this weekend and knew there was no chance of maintaining my diet. My father is a musician and we spent the entire weekend hanging out in bars. I expected to gain a pound maybe even two. I gained four, which is almost half of what I have lost so far! I find myself wondering what the point of dieting is, if in one weekend I can destroy half of what it took me a month to lose.
There are going to be bad weekends where I eat lots of things I shouldnt. Thats just a fact of life. So what am I supposed to do? Not enjoy myself because I apparently have the metabolism of a snail? I dont want to constantly be worried about what will happen if I have a couple drinks and eat a burger and some fries. I know the weekend of March 25 will also be a bad diet weekend and I'm already worrying about it when its over a month away.
I was so motivated and now all I can think is why bother!
