Oh I am struggling today! I think the bad food has thrown me off. This morning I looked at my three scrambled eggs and had the fleeting thought that it wasn't enough. I had to whip out the Sensa. I was hungry for a snack around 9:30 although snack time is at 11. I made it. I had to eat lunch at 12 because I was about to take a bite out of my keyboard if I didn't get some food pronto. I snacked on the nuts I brought at 2.

There is a gnawing hunger within me today. I want to satisfy the need with something thick hot and stick to your ribs yummy.

It's taking me longer than usual to drink my water too! I need some encouragement and advice.

I'm going to Zumba tonight though! I finally have a Monday night off from homework!

try some cereal for breakfast with some fruit it might sustain you a little longer, I always try to do all bran buds with flax seed flakes, or oatmeal with flax seeds. A piece of fruit and maybe some cottage cheese or an egg if I feel the need for more protien. I rarely feel hungry. Lots of water is helpful too. Good luck :-)

Where do you get your cereals? I avoid cereal because the best I've seen so far was 32g Carb/ 6g Fiber. That's not a good enough balance for me, and then you've got to add milk to that as well cuz we know we ain't drinkin cereal with water :)

Have you looked at Fiber One Original cereal? It has about 14 grams of fiber per half cup serving. I usually eat it with blackberries or blueberries. That ups the fiber and gives it a little sweetness. (I also sprinkle on Truvia or Ideal sometimes.) I am surprised that the eggs were not enough to keep you until break time. Were they whole eggs or egg whites? Usually a little fat keeps me satisfied for hours. Good luck with your diet and water intake.

The serving size is a HALF cup. Normal cereal serving sizes are a cup. Then you have to add milk! Where that is the best fiber content I've seen, it would be more suitable as a snack. If I ate 1/2 cup of Original Fiber One and 1/2 cup of skim milk, I could have eaten: 2 cups coffee w/ .5 serving Mayan Chocolate Drink Mix mixed with 1 tsp of French Vanilla Creamer and 2 Splenda, 3 large brown eggs scrambled with Fat Free American Cheese. Carbs are my kryptonite, so I should stick to protein for breakfast. For those who's bodies gain weight from too much protein or fat, this would be a better option for them. I was struggling yesterday because the previous night I ate a icecream sandwich. Now I know the gnawing hunger the next day is not worth it.

One of my go to cereals is kashi go lean crunch- lots of fiber and protein. I also find that quaker old fashioned oats prepared with a cup of skim milk in place of water is great for keeping me satisfied all morning. With a bit of sugar, its about the same calories, or maybe a smidge more that other high fiber cereals, but feels much more filling for me. I hate those days when I'm dying by 11 AM, that's for sure.
