I didn't feel like ranting in the forums so I'm ranting here...

You are your own savior. If you want a program, pill, whatever to help you out, so be it. But what happens when you stop taking the pill? When you stop the program? What then? You have to educate yourself so you can stand on your own two feet. If you lose 20 pounds taking Alli, that's great. I'm happy for you. But when you stop taking the pill without learning how to change your behaviors, you're setting yourself up to gain it back. I understand that some things can help you get started. But in the end, there isn't a pill that can change your habits. There isn't a company or a friend that can lose weight for you. You have to do it. You are the only person that can. If you have a lot of money and you can afford prescriptions, personal trainers, programs and who knows what else, go for it if you think it will help. But in the end, it all depends on you.

In other news...

FUN FACT: A Little Caesar's hot-n-ready cheese pizza has about 2,000 calories (the pepperoni is significantly more). Each little stick of crazy bread is another 100. I found this out when I decided to be lazy a few days ago and pick up a pizza & breadsticks instead of making dinner (figured I could have the leftovers for lunch). Out of curiosity I looked up the nutritional information online. I decided to spread those meals out over a few days. It's not that restaurant/fast food can't be worked in and burned off (it can), but you need to know how many calories are in whatever it is you're eating. And with restaurants... it's probably always going to be higher than you think.

Ouch. That's a lot of calories...

I had Chinese take out one night, and then next day I met a client for lunch at TGI Fridays. I had NO idea something like spinach and artichoke dip had so many calories, either! Good job on spreading the food out. :)
