What age range are you looking for on the site? Maybe you need to up it a bit to weed out some of the wild ones. I think that many of the people on some of the dating sites are just looking for someone to have sex with rather than a long term relationship. If you're just looking to end your dry spell then go for it (just make sure you protect yourself). I think that if you want a long term relationship you are more likely to find a suitable partner by joining a book club, taking a class, or even at a coffee shop. 

slease - you're so right - I was just surprised how forward it is. The women were all in there twenties, I hadn't put an age in yet but will have to start older I think as these 'girls' didn't even look that old! (You know as you get older people tend to look younger). Most people on this site are looking for fun, guess that is what I'll do if I use the site to meet women... :) 

Oh, I fogot to mention that having a cute pooch may also help you out. When the weather gets warmer you may meet some women walking Toto in the park!! 

Yes slease - some women and friends commented the dog is a magnet for women when I'm out walking her in town, a friend here said I looked like a professor dressed in my tweed trench coat, so the dog is cute and won't hurt I suppose. The dating scene is just more forward now with the internet, there's no fences up so to speak, everyone knows what is what, no wasting time anymore, and the young people of today are even freer than those my age and they were liberal enough I thought...
