Well, this feels like a bust.
Although I have adopted a healthy work out routine, and I am TRYING to get my food under control, I can't help but see that I am not giving it my all.
Go BIG or go HOME, right?
My caloric intake has been atrocious these past few days, so I am making it a personal goal of mine to not eat more than 1300 calories!
Seriously, real talk, this is happening. No more EXCUSES.
I saw a picture of myself when I was skinny. I looked so good and I don't know if it inspired me or if it had depressed me, sometimes it is hard to tell.
But whether or not I subconciously take it as inspiration does not matter, I will take it as inspiration. It has been depression that has got me here in the first place.
I have to make my own inspiration!
I will rise above and conquer this!

sometimes it's not about going big, sometimes it's about small steps forward. Small steps are attainable - maybe the goal will take a little time, but with small steps you are at least moving forward. Don't set yourself up to fail by expecting too big from yourself. You will conquer and inspire yourself and others.

Thank you so much, cmlynn, for your supporting reminder! It is about small steps, and so far I have been doing great with those, especially with getting more active> I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the inspiration I get from this website and my FS buddies. Sometimes, its nostalgia that can get to you. I have to remind myself that I have come a long way from where I was when I was skinny. In MANY positive ways. So I have to remind myself of those positive changes I have made since then, and how being this weight has given me an insight I would have missed out on. I can now truely appreciate my body, and the hard work that goes into maintain such a figure. Its all fueling from the instant gradification that I am so used to getting by eating bad food that temporarily made me feel good, that I want the same to come from weight loss. What a funny falacy!

I agree Cmlynn! It's easy to set ourselves up for failure by expecting too much too soon. Little, attainable daily or weekly goals are what set good habits in place in the first place. You CAN do this! And keep in mind, it's not always about the actual caloric intake for the day....if you're working out, your body NEEDS fuel to survive. Just make sure you're fuelling with the right kinds of foods. If your goal is weight loss, drop the starchy carb intake, and increase your fibrous carb intake. What a difference a few of the right vitamins and minerals can do for your energy levels too! Keep a positive mindset and you can do ANYTHING!!!!

It's like everything we do, one step at a time. We set mini-goals and then celebrate when we achieve them. I'm only 2-1/2 pounds away from my next mini. heck that's just not eating one day and I'm there. You can do this, trust yourself.
